Tuesday 7:00pm - 8:30pm TAI CHI CH'UAN - BEGINNERS

Thursday 10:30am - 12:00pm TAI CHI CH'UAN - OPEN
This class welcomes all who are interested, regardless of their previous experience. In this class the primary focus is on basics and their expression in the small circle long form from Yang Sau Cheng, son of Yang Cheng Fu.
  6:30pm - 8:00pm TAI CHI CH'UAN - INTERMEDIATE
The minimum entrance requirement for this class is the ability to perfom the long form. It's focus is on the refinement of movement via climbing the ladder of the "Six Secrets". This class introduces two person practice through Tui shou - Push hand training
  8:00pm - 9:30pm TAI CHI CH'UAN - SENIOR & APPLICATIONS
This class is for accomplished practitioners who wish to refine and develop advanced skills including the detailed study of applications of the form movements

Saturday 9:30am - 10:40am QI GONG
Various styles of qi gong will be covered at these classes. As well as the overall health benefits they give, qi gong exercises are an ideal introduction to body fundamentals and recommended accompaniment to the study of internal martial arts.
  11:00am - 12:30pm TAI CHI CH'UAN - OPEN
Another class open to all interested. After initial warmup and fundamental study the class breaks into smaller study groups according to the levels of experience and aspirations of those attending. Absolute beginners are very welcome. However a commitment and capacity to work alone may be necessary depending on how many absolute beginners turn up on any given day. If in doubt bring a friend to work/play with (grin)
  12:30pm - 1:00pm ADVANCED SWORD
An advanced sword class restricted to those who already know the Yang family traditional sword. Runs as a follow on to the Saturday morning Open Class for senior students. Using the framework of the 42 step Jian to further explore the intricacies of advanced footwork and applications.
  2:00pm - 3:30pm TAI CHI SWORDS
This class focuses on the two Tai Chi swords. The teaching develops the footwork as established through the practice of the solo bare hand form. Applications are examined both in their own right and as a vehicle to the development of understanding the applied use of Qi. Practising them both weaponed and empty handed. The Dao, a single edged large knife or broadsword, and the Jian, a double edged sword. The Jiang, spear, and gen, staff are intrduced as relevant. They are also available to train in their own right.
Dao - Two forms one long and one short. Both from the Yang family tradition
Jian - Traditional Yang family Solo form and two person form.
Jiang and Gen - 4 part and Sticky Jaing 13 Spear
